Supporting the clean energy transition of coal-intensive EU regions (DeCarb)

Project objective

DeCarb aims to support public authorities to initiate efforts, join forces and exchange experiences to:
a) identify growth strategies to mitigate the impact of decarbonisatoin,
b) make the most of EU funds & financing tools,
c) promote public dialogue on conflicting interests.

Financing

The value of the project amounts to: 1 807 739,00 EUR
Including the value financed by the EU: 1 536 578,15 EUR
Budget for the Łódź Region: 167 956,00 EUR

Cooperation

Our objective is to establish a regional network of experts in a energy area, originating from both the academic environment and practitioners. We welcome representatives of authorities from the Łódź region responsible for the energy, mobility and low-carbon economic policy areas; public administration employees working in the fields of energy, sustainable development, etc; regional energy agencies; regional development agencies; transport and mobility agencies; regional environmental agencies; universities, knowledge centres and research institutes; other public bodies, bodies governed by public law or non-profit private bodies emissions from the low carbon economy.
