About the project<\/h1><\/div>

The partners of the project, 15 regions from the EU area (15), civil society cities and organizations from eight countries are concerned about the future of the EU. Over the last two years, the number of people applying for asylum has increased to a million, which is not inconsiderable in the context of the coming years. The EU faces a challenge, because it may not be able to afford the consequences of the lack of integration of immigrants (including a large group of refugees). Therefore, successful countries may use the triple potential in the form of increase of democracy and GNP.<\/p>\n

The challenge consists of the EU\u2019s capacity to cope with the problem of assistance and integration of immigrants within the countries that accept them.<\/p>\n

The project concentrates on the area of policy, which has so far been little examined.<\/p>\n

Use of digital tools in the process of integration may affect immigrants. Cities will serve as centres for immigrants and innovation centres of digital management.<\/p>\n

The project will support cities participating in the development of this strategy of digital integration assuming a reduction of a digital gap and supporting the efforts of authorities aimed at integration. The development of co-operation within the thematic network, consisting of local and regional authorities and NGOs, will be ensured by constructing a network of virtual commitment and integration.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Project events<\/h1><\/div>

During the implementation of the project, six internationalization events are planned, using participation methods based on legal acts, including: kick- off meeting in Korydallos (GR) \u2013 Sep 2017 and five other events: Bucharest (RO) \u2013 Jan 2018 \u2013 active role of digital tools in the process of integration of immigrants, Castellon (ES) \u2013 May 2018 \u2013 digital strategies based on language and cultural barriers, Vasto (IT)- Sep 2018 \u2013 development of trust in integration by the cities, Radauti (RO) \u2013 Dec 2018 \u2013 increase by the cities of access to mobile networks and power infrastructure, final event in Korydallos (GR) \u2013 Mar 2019 \u2013 providing access to training, digital content and services for immigrants.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><\/div><\/div><\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
